On 9 and 11 May, the UCJC Foundation took part in the 16th INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON WOMEN, INTELLIGENCE AND TALENT: CHALLENGES OF WOMEN IN CIVIL SOCIETY that UCJC organised together with the Foro de Mujeres en el S.XXI of the Real Casino of Madrid.

The event was opened by Luz Pérez, director of the International Women, Intelligence and Talent Seminar, as well as head of the SEK Education Group Talent Development Programme.

In the different panels and round table discussions, topics were discussed such as life experiences and resources for the empowerment of women in civil society; the social challenge of detecting female talent; the actions and achievements of different women’s institutions, organisations and foundations; or the actions and achievements in education of gifted people.

The two-day event featured the participation of Julissa Reynoso, United States ambassador to Spain; Cruz Sánchez de Lara, lawyer, human rights expert and vice president of El Español; María Luisa Gutiérrez, president of the Association of Film Producers of Spain; Sole Rodríguez de Lavalle, Director of Talent Management and Development at SEK Education Group; Jorge Gallardo, deputy director of Espejo Público and director of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication and New Media at UCJC; Carlota Tovar, director of the UCJC Foundation and Miriam Izquierdo, president of the Woman Forward Foundation, among others.
